Sebastien Josse - Skipper
30. France. Single. Winning the Credit Agricole Selection jump-started an impressive series of single-handed victories for Sebastian on his way to joining Bruno Peyron’s record-breaking crew on his maxi multihull in the Jules Verne Trophy in 2002. He has since added success in the Rolex Fastnet to his achievements, and views his first Volvo Ocean Race as a fresh challenge.


Simon Fisher - Navigator
27. Great Britain. Single. Simon’s electronic skills, which he uses to develop for onboard systems and post processing tools for yacht racing analysis, are not the only strengths he brings to this team. With extensive experience in offshore and inshore racing, Simon will bring benefits to this team all around the race track.


Lucas Brun - Race Crew
22. Brazil. Single. Lucas began life on the seas sailing dinghies before joining his father, a former world Soling champion, in ocean racing. Like many in this fledgling crew, he has limited offshore racing experience, but the 2003 Brazilian 40.7 Champion believes his determination to learn is a never ending affair.


Gerd Jan Poortman - Race Crew
29. Netherlands. Single. Gerd made his competitive debut 22 years ago, aged just six years old, and has since gone on to win the Admiral’s Cup and European Swan Championships as a bowman, while recording a third-placed finish aboard Avant in the 2004 Volvo Baltic Race.


George Peet - Race Crew
25. USA. Single. George, who holds an honours degree in biological sciences, gave up medical school to take part in what he described as “the best sailboat race in the world”. A professional sailor since 2003, George has won several races in America, and is also a sailmaker by trade.


Andrew Lewis - Race Crew
23. USA. Single. Hailing from Hawaii, Andrew began his love-affair with the ocean on a surf board, but since 1997, when he put his efforts into sailing, he has already made history as the first person to win every US youth title in a single year. He has gone on to represent USA, narrowly missing out on an Olympic slot, and won US Sailor of the Year in 1999 and Hawaiian Yachtsman of the Year 2004.


Luke Molloy - Race Crew
25. Australia. Single. The youngest of the Australian trio onboard, the Brisbane sailor has already accumulated 7,000 miles as a dinghy sailor and believes his ability to win the respect of his crewmates will aid his new career as an ocean racer. He also works as a sail maker.


Simeon Tienpont - Race Crew
23. Netherlands. Girlfriend. Simeon has sailing woven into his soul with his family’s background based in the ship building industry, a racing debut at five years old and four years spent studying the design and construction of boats at university. Offshore racing won’t pose a new problem to the young Dutchman who has already clocked a 16-day stint at sea and racked up 40,000 miles.


Nick Bice - Race Crew
27. Australia. Girlfriend. As a qualified boatbuilder Nick will offer the team some valuable expertise in the destructive waters of this race course, while his sailing ability has been demonstrated by the numerous first place finishes and line honours he has acquired in his five year professional career. He was also part of the shore team of Nautor Challenge in the last race four years ago.


Scott Beavis - Race Crew
24. New Zealand. Girlfriend. Despite being the youngest of four professionals aboard ABN AMRO’s second boat, Scott brings with him the experience of the last Volvo Ocean Race with Team SEB and the Fastnet Race among other distinguished performances. When he isn’t sailing Scott uses mountain biking, snow boarding and bike racing to keep his pulse ticking over.

31. Holland. Married with one child. Hans previously played a leading role in selecting the young sailors aboard ABM AMRO TWO. As one of five professional sailors in the crew, Hans’ experience as a trimmer on BrunelSunergy in the 1997-98 Whitbread Race will be invaluable.
