41. Australia. Married. Owner and skipper of a string of Wild Thing yachts, Grant has competed in offshore races all over the world. He is a highly experienced project manager with extensive exposure to entire yacht development programs. Successes include line honours in the Sydney to Hobart race and many other placings, as well as Etchells National Champion and crew member of djuice dragons in the last Volvo Ocean Race. Grant was awarded the keys of the City of Melbourne for services to yachting in the area.
34. UK. He participated in three Whitbread Round the World Races, including on Integrity in 1989-90 when he as an 18-year-old became the youngest crew member ever in the race. He was the youngest skipper in the history of the Whitbread Round The World Race on Dolphin & Youth in 1993-94. Matthew was a member of the Olympic Training Squad, record holder for the fastest circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight, and winner of the ‘Fastnet’ and ‘Round Ireland’ races.
A vastly experienced sailor. Jeff Scott sailed onboard djuice in the previous Volvo Ocean Race.
20. UK. Mark is the nipper on the boat and is the youngest participant in the race.
36. New Zealand. A professional sailor with a strong background in ocean racing. He competed on SEB in the last Volvo Ocean Race and has done Maxi One-Design World Championship, Fastnet Race and Sydney-Hobart several times.
